We had a busy week — Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Rockies game, apple picking — followed by a weekend with zero plans! I was relieved. We ended up having a quiet night in on Friday, watching our cousins play soccer, a round of putt putt, a trip to the farmer’s market and a really good Sunday night dinner ðĪ

I don’t think it’s ever stopped being Halloween over here, but it’s in fuller effect lately. The kids’ costumes came in on Friday and Lydia has been wearing hers every day since ð I bought a handful of the $5 Target Halloween crafts and I better hide the rest or we’ll finish all of them before it’s even October! After dinner, we all painted some suncatchers and I love how they kids’ turned out. Dempsey loves a craft ðĨš After we got the kids to bed, we caught up on Big Brother then went to bed ourselves.

Saturday morning soccer is way more fun when you’re not actually on the team ð I made us all some whole wheat pumpkin waffles before we headed over to watch Landon and Delaney play. They were sooooo cute out there during warm up. It was so fun to see! Our kids kept breaking onto the field till Lori finally took them over to the park ðĪŠ We played for a bit after then took them to play putt putt. Lydia made it through about four holes and Dempsey did his fair share of playing around too but I was pleasantly surprised that he finished most holes. Afterward, a skipped nap for Lydia, hanging out at home, more crafts and chicken parmesan sliders for dinner. Got the kids to bed extra early then watched the second episode of Adolescence before adult bedtime.

A very laidback Sunday. I got up to work out then we all went to the farmers’ market for the first time in a long time after breakfast. We got popsicles, squash, a candle, flowers and most importantly, coffee for Mom and Dad ðĨ° We didn’t have much else planned besides our normal chores, so we got those done while Lydia actually took a nap and Dempsey and I made a “bread pet” aka sourdough starter while she was down. I made ribs, stovetop mac and cheese and coleslaw for dinner. I don’t know why everyone lets a football team dictate their Sunday mood when they could just make some really good food and be happy ð Got the kids bathed and into bed before watching Big Brother and almost falling asleep on the couch. I hope you all have a good week!
