October is here and I couldnโt be happier! Itโs truly just such a beautiful month that hopefully gives us some bluebird days and some cozy nights. Plus we have Dempseyโs birthday and Halloween to celebrate. Gonna be the best!
We had a busy week with something going on every day, then a weekend with a Rockies game, Delaneyโs first birthday party and a family dinner so our sleep schedule has been a little off but it was all worth it ๐ค

Our last game of the season and we all got to go! Joey got us some really good seats a few rows up from the visitorsโ dugout and the weather was perfect. I had no intentions of letting my children stay up late enough to see the fireworks after the game but sometimes the energy it takes to worry and be a โnoโ person is exhausting. Turns out itโs easier and more fun to say โyesโ occasionally ๐ My sis and Wayne were a few sections over and got to come watch the show with us, so it was extra sweet and both kids seemed unfazed by the noise. Demps loved it!

The littles had kind of a rough night but we finally all made it out of bed by 7:30 (late for us ๐ฌ) and Dempsey helped me make biscuits for biscuits and gravy. Then he was off to swim and back home for a quick bath before Delaneyโs birthday party. Wow, Betsy and Jory blew me away with their decorations! And Delaney looked so cute in her โHoly Cow, Iโm ONEโ outfit ๐ค๐ค Dempsey was running around having too much fun and Lyds was a happy girl. We took them home for naps and then Demps wanted to wreack havoc for the rest of the night, which included throwing his plate across the table ๐คช His loss because Joey made us a really good dinner. Got those kiddos to bed and finished Season 2 of The Bear, which I liked way more than Season 1 even if I have a hard time suspending disbelief a lot of the time.

Happy Sunday, Happy October and Happy Birthday to Uncle Adam! ๐ We walked to Tennyson for coffee, then back home for breakfast, naps, bats and laundry. Joey and I somehow both fit in a run and I made salads for the week while the boys hit up Home Depot for paint. We have a little Harry Potter-style closet upstairs thatโs been full of boxes of baby clothes but we cleared it out and now itโs a playroom for Dempsey! Joey got lights for it and they got to work painting it โdark dark orangeโ per Dempseyโs request. I love how excited heโs been about it! At 4:40, we headed over to Grandma and Chaddyโs for a lasagna dinner in celebration of Uncle Adamโs birthday and it was a really nice evening. They have the front yard DECKED OUT and Dempsey loved looking at it all. The kids all play together so well and itโs just super sweet to watch them together. Lori got trick candles and Dempsey was just so determined to keep blowing them out again and again and again ๐๐ Got home, got the kids to bed and got to watch Big Brother, so I was happy. I hope everyone has a nice week!
