Well, it’s official. The wedding and the honeymoon are over and real life has recommenced. It’s sad, except not that sad because real life with a husband is pretty sweet 🙂 And because between wedding week activities, the actual wedding and our honeymoon, I have enough things to blog about for the rest of the year.
I’ve thought long and hard about the best way to recap everything that’s happened this month, but I’ve got nothing. I have no earthly idea how to put everything into some kind of cohesive (and not incredibly lengthy…) order. So I’m just going to start. And hope that it all comes out okay. I know, chronologically-speaking, I should start with the week of stuff but we just got our professional wedding photos back and I just can’t help but post those first! Seeing as we have 700 photos (!!!!), I’m going to split them up.
Pre-ceremony’s up first!
I put Jenn in charge of “getting ready time” mimosas, naturally.
I hear my uncle wound up in the same elevator as my dress while our photographer was shooting this photo. How funny!
This was my first pair of wedding day shoes — after the ceremony I changed into some much more comfortable, but just as high wedges — and how cool do they look against the other bright colors in the room?!
Us girls got ready at the Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver. We had the SPICE GIRLS SUITE!!!! I pretty much freaked out when I heard such a thing existed. All the fun girly details (and all the SG photos hanging in the room) were so fun!
I love the boys’ “getting ready” photos 🙂
Seriously, I need this couch in my house.
Joey loves this photo for some reason. He thinks it looks like I’m running. More like walking quickly because I was 20 minutes late to our first look 🙂
I somehow managed to keep my nerves under control all day and that’s not something I expected from myself AT ALL. Everything just felt so right.
I believe there’s some skateboarders practicing some jumps opposite us in these pictures. Just normal downtown Denver happenings.
Those yellow wall photos were so hard to take, but we had to have em! It was so cloudy all morning then bam! that sun came out and it was hot hot hot. And bright. All minor squinting aside, I love the way those photos came out. After we got first look and wedding party photos taken, we all got in our cars and made our way to the ceremony. Those are coming next!
