Happy June! Can you believe we’re here?? I felt like we had a lot of moving parts this weekend and yet, it was still somehow pretty relaxed compared to all the happenings of May. I’m ready for more of that vibe going into this month, how about you?

Friday morning, I dropped Dempsey off at school then headed to my mani and went with yellow π Afterward, I went home to work for the rest of the afternoon and then Lori brought the kids home around 3:30 and hung out till Joey got home. I made pesto chicken Caesar pasta salad for dinner and it was a hit! Got the kids bathed and to bed before watching Top Chef and we’re getting so close to the end! I’m Team Tristen all the way.

Saturday started with a super exciting rock delivery. Joey planned to spend “three hours” finishing up our front yard landscaping and finally got it done by yesterday evening π I decided to set up a lemonade stand with the kids to keep them busy and it turned out so cute and fun. Dempsey even helped cut the peel off the lemons. They made five whole dollars in tips and we got a visit from Aunt Lauren and Uncle Adam π€ After lunch, my mom came to pick Dempsey up for a sleepover and once Lydi was up from her nap, she and Joey headed out on a little father-daughter date to buy a fishing pole and go to dinner π₯Ί Meanwhile, I headed to the Alamo to watch a concert screening?! Never done that before but it was actually a really cool experience. Not quite the same as being at a concert in both good ways and bad, but damn, Hobi is just meant for the stage! Also, three different ARMYs gave me goodie bags with stickers, candy and Hope Money π€ There’s truly nothing like being amongst your fellow BTS fans! I got an update of Lydi with her fishing pole and it was so HER!

Lydia let us sleep in on Sunday, can you believe it?? After we all finally got out of bed, we headed to Rise & Shine for biscuit sandwiches and then I went to get my hair cut. Picked Dempsey up after and it seemed like he had a good time over at Grandma and Grandpa’s! We had a really low key rest of the day. Lunch, nap/rest time, salad making time for me and then we played till dinner. It poured right before I had to head out to use the grill but luckily stopped right before. Doesn’t the front yard look so good?! I love how it turned out! Got the kids bathed and into bed. Joey said Dempsey was asleep before he even finished singing to them! We watched some TV but I was falling asleep on the couch myself. I guess we were all tired.
Wishing you all a Happy Monday!
