My Bridal Shower

True Story: A couple of days into being engaged I woke up in a panic thinking “I can’t get married, I don’t have enough girlfriends for a bachelorette party or a bridal shower!”  Then my brain woke up a little more and reminded me that when it comes to friends, quality > quantity.  And even though I’ve always had a small circle of friends/family, I was about to gain a whole slew of female family members on Joey’s side.  And that was the last worry I had about my bridal shower.

What can I say?  It was Mardi Gras themed, there were mini muffulettas, Hurricanes and masks and I only felt slightly terrified while opening presents in front of a roomful of people.  I’d like to never do that last part again, please and thank you 🙂

This is normal bridal shower behavior, right?

Oh, there we go 🙂  My cousin flew in just for the shower!

Guess who found the baby in their piece of King Cake — Emily tried her best to hand that specific piece to me all nonchalantly but I saw right through it 🙂  I guess I’ll be throwing the next party!

P.S. Please forgive me, I am physically unable to think or speak about anything that’s not wedding related right now (that’s a real sentence I spoke to Joey yesterday morning when he was trying to talk to me about a burger bar that’s opening up down the street from our house).  So it’s gonna be a long three weeks for you readers! 😛
