Scary Things

The fact that I was excited for Halloween to fall on a weekday so I wouldn’t have to dress up.

Don’t get me wrong, I love carving pumpkins, watching mildly scary movies and seeing Halloween episodes of my favorite TV shows, but I’m so not into putting together Halloween costumes. And Halloween celebrations rarely live up to my expectations. Or maybe I’m just no fun.

That I’ve been reading the same book for 2 months and am only halfway finished.

I love my Kindle but I never have any idea how long the book I’m reading is. And therefore have no idea what I’m getting myself into.

Hurricane Sandy.

I’ve never experienced a hurricane, but the news coverage makes it look terrifying. I’m keeping the East coast in my thoughts.

Taylor Swift’s new CD.

She’s going to be 30 and still singing about immature relationships and making music videos where she’s dancing around her room in her pajamas. Heaven help us.

That it’s already Halloween and we’re about to be in the midst of “the holidays.”

Or maybe it’s more scary that I’m already super excited for Thanksgiving.

Happy Halloween!

What serious or not-so-serious things scare you?

Are you dressing up today?

    • Thanks, Shanna! My mom and I share an account so I just grab whatever she she’s already bought but I should start looking it up on Amazon beforehand!

  1. I have never really liked putting together costumes either. I’m not creative or crafty in the clothing department, and I hate dragging myself to Halloween costume shops. So really, Halloween for me is all about eating candy, watching scary movies, and hanging out with other people who hate putting together costumes. Maybe I’m not any fun either? Haha. I’d like to think I’m just more of a Thanksgiving/Christmas girl. Less energy into Halloween=more into those holidays? Yeah. That’s it. 🙂

    • I’ll buy that 😛 My dislike of dressing up goes all the way back to elementary school when I’d show up in costume and not want to get out of the car because “are you sure it’s Halloween?!” or “are you sure we’re supposed to wear our costumes now instead of changing into them later??” Ha ha!

  2. I’m with you on the whole Halloween thing. I almost kind of -wish- that I could get excited because I used to love it as a kid, but I’m just not feeling it. I’m staying home to hand out candy, and I’m just kind of waiting for the whole thing to be over so that I can start getting excited for Christmas 😀

    • I can’t wait to have my own house so I can be the giver out-er instead of the receiver but from what I hear kids don’t trick or treat as much as they used to 😦
