Did you know I have a category just for “What I’m Loving Lately” posts and it has all of two posts in it? That’s kind of unacceptable, huh? I’m going to try to get the ball rolling by adding a third post to that category today. Today, it’s a fall edition, because who doesn’t love fall and all the warm and toasty things that come with it?
Unseasonably Warm Weather.
It was seriously 70 degrees here last week. Seventy degrees. In mid-November. Sure, it’s supposed to snow tonight, but overall it has been so nice out lately and I am absolutely adoring it. If Colorado could stay at 70 degrees for the entirety of winter I wouldn’t mind at all. Also, that picture is from about a month ago, so no more leaves on that tree 😦
The Yoga Studio App.
I bought this app a couple weeks ago in lieu of attending classes for $18 a piece at all the local studios (isn’t that absurd?!) and have been using it almost daily. I’ve been waking up just a little bit early, following the 15-minute intermediate combination class then going about my day and it’s so nice to get a good stretch in first thing in the morning. Except for that part where I’m so stiff and want to cry because I have lost all flexibility.
The New Head and the Heart CD.
Let’s Be Still is amazing! We’ve been playing it every night as we get into bed and I love it more and more every time I hear it. We have tickets to see the band next month and I could not be more excited. Especially after hearing how great their new CD is. Pretty sure I’m going to show up to the show the night before so I can get a good seat because the theater is pretty small.
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Um, not Christmas… THANKSGIVING! Presents are great but if you ask me, it’s all about the holiday that centers around food. This year, we’re making green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, brussel sprouts
casserole (just kidding) and rolls (or biscuits to be more exact). I dubbed last Wednesday “Fakesgiving,” aka the day we test out a bunch of Thanksgiving recipes, then eat them for dinner. It’s my new second favorite holiday.
The Mindy Project.
I don’t think I’ve confessed my deep love for this show yet. I know a bunch of people who are all into New Girl but to be honest, that show kind of sucks. The Mindy Project is on right after and is so.much.better. It probably has something to do with me being a female but it is so refreshing to watch a 30-minute show that is both hilarious, real and girly all at the same time. Is anyone else out there watching it?
No child of the 90’s grew up without having one of these. I haven’t seen one in years but it’s just as fun as I remember it being as a kid. Plus it makes coding a bunch of invoices a lot more fun. Does changing colors every invoice make me cool or just childish?
Jenn is my go-to make up guru. So when I decided I wanted to start slowly swapping out my cheap make up for some better quality stuff I obviously went to her for a good recommendation. She claimed They’re Real by Benefit was the best of the best so I picked some up a couple weekends ago and… I love it!
What are you loving this fall?
